Solo, unsupported sea kayak expedition from UK to Bilbao completed.

Arriving on the shore at Bilbao

Hey all,

I'm writing this blog post deep in the Pyrenees from a secret location where I am being slowly re-introduced to people, general cleanliness and beds.

Today I completed my solo, unsupported sea kayak expedition from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, to Bilbao in Spain. All in aid of Help for Heroes, and so far (i'm expecting this to rise still) we have raised over £2,600 pounds. I'm truly ecstatic, and overwhelmed by the generosity and kind support that the public have given.

Ash's Location

Welcome to Ash Jeyes' Sea Kayak Challenge 2010

Ash is a sea kayaker from Guernsey, and is planning (or already is) to kayak from the UK to Spain, solo and unsupported for Help for Heroes. He will attempt to do this over the summer of 2010, travelling around 900 Nautical Miles, and traversing the Channel Islands, the Brest Peninsula and the Bay of Biscay.

Here you can follow Ash's progress, get in contact with him, and spread the word to your friends, all so that we, together, can raise as much money for Help for Heroes as possible.
